Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is a native of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. The father of her Sergey (d. in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born on May 5th, 1998, at Minsk Belarus. Her career has seen her achieve twelve WTA singles championships, which includes the Grand Slam in the Australian Open in 2023. She is also an excellent doubles player. She's won two more Majors to this area, that include the US Open 2019 and the Australian Open 2021 won both by Elise Mertens. Also, she achieved the Sunshine Double in 2019, winning in the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open with Elise Mertens. Four women's teams have achieved this feat. She rose from second to third place in the singles world rankings on 23 August 2021. Her best ranking was achieved again in January of 2023. The Belarusian rose to the top of the doubles rankings in the year following, having triumphing the doubles title in Melbourne. It made her the second Belarusian tennis player be successful in tennis. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) coached her for part of the 2019 season in 2018 and through the closing. Dieter Kindlmann was briefly with her in August through September 2020. As of the year 2020's end, she has been coached by her coach, Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her idols.
